My Family

Update!!! Be sure to click the Blog link above to get to the latest, most up to date info on the family.

There is not too much to our small family. We are only 2. My wife Staci, pictured above with me on our wedding day. Let me tell you, it was really hard for us to get in the exact same position, only mirrored for that picture above. But, we are models, what can I say.

The real purpose if this page is let everyone know what is up with me and my wife, so I will get to it.

Wow, it kind of feels like trying to catch up in my journal. This day is when Staci and started our life together. We didn't get married on this day, but we got engaged, and that was close enough for us. I proposed to her on Lake Couer D'Alene in Northern Idaho. She didn't know it was coming at that moment, but it was good. I gave her a bunch of gifts, then had her close her eyes, and gave her a ring. She obviously said yes, and now we are married.

yes

When I proposed to her, we were on a 4-day vacation from work, I from selling pest control in Texas; and she from Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, where she got paid to play. Rough life. Those four days are the only time that we spent physically together. We talked every night on the phone, however like young lovebirds are wont to do.

June 28 to Oct. 9, 2004

In August we got back to school. She lived in the dorms and I joked one night that I didn't have a place to live until we got married, and so I was living in my car. That was the truth because it was our first day back and I hadn't found a place to live for a month, yet.

So, one of her lovely "friends" was so concerned about my well-being that she called the Dean's Office, and I had to go see them and get my friend (who was by this time letting me live in his basement) to sign a paper saying that it was okay that I was living there. It was funny.

We got married on this day in the Bountiful, UT, Temple. My dad's mission president married us. He also married my sister and her husband about 10 years earlier in the Salt Lake Temple, and we didn't even plan that. It just happened. Isn't that cool? Yeah, I know.

Oct. 9th, 2004 to April, 2005

Our first sex, I mean six, months of marriage.

May to Aug., 2005

We went to Southern California to sell pest control. Staci worked in the office and didn't like it. I liked selling pest control because I did better than I had the previous year. That makes me pleased.

Our days consisted of getting up at about 8:00, and being to work at 9:00 and staying until 9:00-10:00 pm. Staci sometimes got off earlier than that. Then we would come home and watch a movie that we got from Blockbuster Online. We watched at least 50 movies after that started. It was great. We needed an outlet for our stress. That worked for us just fine.

Sept. to Dec., 2005

Staci and I moved back to Rexburg for the last time. We are graduating in just a couple days on December 16th, 2005. Staci will get her BS in Recreation Leadership. I will get a BA in English. (I hope there are no errors on this page, that would be embarrassing.) Usually when I say that, there is. After we graduate, we will have Staci's entire family over for Christmas. The day after Christmas, we will be moving down to Utah, the Salt Lake area, where we will live with my brother for a couple months while we find a place of our own.
